Eset Smart Security 5 Full Reviews 2013
The irony here is the fact that i have to manually delete the threats myself only to find out that they were all false alarms, meaning that as bad as this software cannot even deal with the very threats it alerts you of, the same software detects false viruses and false malwares also. I decided to remove version 5 and reinstall version 4 and what do you know, it not only detected less threats, but it also dealt with all of them like a professional security suite should. In addition, as i used it on my new HDD and much of the threats were default and necessary windows files. and less than a quarter were from my flash-drive.
My advice would be to keep clear of version 5 and stick to version 4 until eset can get their game together..
I would also like to add my discontent with the parental control features of this software. I know that eset means well by having this option, but this option only makes sense if there is one computer per house or per family. Something which i don't think still exist with the introduction of smart phones,etc............ And to be honest, such pointless additions to this software only contributes to the bulkiness of the installation package rather than an improved performance.
